What is Botox?

Botox is the first FDA-approved treatment offering a temporary reduction of moderate to severe crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead lines. The formula is created from Clostridium botulinum, a natural substance present in lakes, soil, and forests. In larger concentrations, botulinum toxin is deadly, but the volume used in aesthetic preparations is completely safe. Botox temporarily reduces the ability of targeted facial muscles to contract. What is it like to get Botox?
